CARNET DE PLONGÉE - Normand – La Romana - Bayahibe

Dernière journée de  plongée / Last day of diving
ScubaFun Dive center: Richard D.M.

A) Saint George wreck / épave
Nitrox 21% - Diving time 28' - Depth 82'
Temp: 28c - Eau/water 27c
Vis.: 75'

The 80m long steel freighter St George has been scuttled as an artificial reef in the national park in early 1999. Situated on the south east coast a short boat journey from the port of Bayahibe, the freighter is placed upright in 30-40m depth and is memorable for the diversity of marine life. You descend through a cloud of jacks swirling all around you then the wreck looms out of the blue. The wreck is easily accessed if the shot line is anchored to the stern.

B) Guara guao
Nitrox 21% - Diving time 47' - Depth 71'
Temp: 27c - Eau/water 27c
Vis.: 75'
